God made Chocolate Mousse and said it was GOOD

Real talk: this Chocolate Mousse recipe is from God. I believe he literally spoke to Dianne Sanfilippo one day and told her that she needed to make some sort of chocolate treat for all those who would ever try her 21 Day Sugar Detox program. I believe, and all my friends on the detox with me believe, God knew we would need some sort of treat of downright, chocolate goodness while facing the challenge of kicking our sugar cravings in the butt.

The funny thing is that when I made this recipe on Saturday, I actually thought I messed it up and added more cocoa than I should have. I doubled the recipe in order to make extra mousse for my friends and family could try, and thought I quadrupled the dark, unsweetened cocoa when I first tasted it. I was extremely saddened at that point since: 1) I don’t like messing up on recipes and 2) I was sad that I had all that mousse and no one would want to eat it because it was chocolate overload. Yet, luckily I was so wrong.

It didn’t taste that great originally because the mousse was still warm and hadn’t had time to set in the fridge overnight. But friends, once that bowl of chocolate delight had time to set? Oh goodness, heaven came. Of all people, I’m not trying to be sacrilegious or anything. I’m just being straight up – if heaven is anything like this chocolate mousse, then take me now Lord, take me now.

Now, I could sit here and write more about the texture of the mousse, what brand of ingredients to use, how long to let the mousse set in the fridge, etc. However, that would mean making you read this post a few minutes longer when instead, you could be heading to your cupboard or local grocery store to get the ingredients to make this mousse, tonight. Trust me, you want to make this mousse more than you want to read my experience with it.

So, do me a favor:

  • Go get the recipe at the 21 Day Sugar Detox website here
  • Go buy the ingredients
  • Make the mousse and let it sit over night
  • Light some candles and put on some Barry White “Cant get enough of your love, babe” when you come home from work the next day (okay, this step is optional)
  • Eat your mousse with the candles and music (again, candles and music are optional)
  • Stop eating your mousse (it’s that good, you may not want to stop)
  • Comment on this post and tell me how good (I hope) it was

If you are a Paleo/Whole 30/Real Food lover, this Chocolate Mousse recipe is for you. Don’t let the ingredients of Banana, Coconut Milk, Avocado, Vanilla and Unsweetened Cocoa confuse you or make you think it won’t be good. These ingredients are just angels in disguise that God sent into this world to help us through this thing called detoxing and healthy living.

Just beware & be prepared: After you eat this mousse, you may just meet the Living God and experience Psalm 34:8 – by tasting and seeing that the Lord is good, so good.
