30 Days of Thankfulness with Essential Oils: Day 6 – Balance!

Are there times in your life that you wish you felt more balanced and grounded?

Life can be chaotic and it’s so easy to let that chaos take over and become your every day. It’s so easy to fill our schedules with back-to-back meetings or activity-after-activity, without ever really taking a break.

This leaves us in a state of anxiety and constant anxiety, characterized by over-committed schedules and barely any rest.

This anxious state creates stress within our minds and bodies that can then lead to many health causes and concerns. Lack of sleep

This is where the Balance (or the Grounding Blend) comes in!

balance-oil

Balance is one of those oils that calms you no matter what you are feeling physically or psychologically. Blended with oils such as Spruce, Ho Wood, Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile and Fractionated Coconut oil, this essential oil blend promotes feelings of tranquility and relaxation.

According to doTERRA, Spruce was actually “used by Native Americans for health and spiritual reasons and is still used today to bring harmony to the mind and body.” Therefore, mixing Spruce with all of the other calming oils, provides a grounding blend that is bound to center your mind, body, and emotions.

Some practical ways to use Balance include:

  • Applying to your wrist and neck when feeling overwhelmed and stressed
  • Diffusing at work during a stressful work season
  • Diffusing with Serenity, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Lavender or any other calming oil before bed
  • Putting Balance at the bottom of your feet at the beginning of day to promote a sense of calmness and tranquility
  • Smelling it straight from the bottle during moments of psychological and physical stress

Balance is one of my husband and my favorite oils to diffuse at night. We love to blend it with oils such as Serenity, Vetiver, and Cedarwood to calm our minds and bodies before bed. I also love to put it on the bottom of my feet with Vetiver to allow my body to relax before sleeping. And trust me, it relaxes (especially when you use Vetiver with it!) and I sleep really well every time I use Balance on it’s own, or in combination with other calming and relaxing oils.

i-can-not

Personally, today I’m grateful for a body that isn’t super human and clearly tells me when I need to rest.

My life is a bit chaotic at times and I won’t deny that. I’m often going from task-to-task and forget to create periods of rest throughout the week.

This lack of rest often puts my body in a position where it has to yell at me to slow down! I will either start to feel weak and lethargic or start to feel cold symptoms. This is when I know that it’s time take a step back and chill out.

This actually happened today and I had to reschedule some activities and simply just take some essential oils (On Guard and Breathe for the win!) and sleep. And although I’m not 100% yet, resting and the oils definitely helped!

recharge

What is one way you can make space to relax and recharge your mind and body today? Do you need to schedule in some down time, use an essential oil like balance to help calm you during chaotic times, or even just read a book instead of working on that one last thing?

Share in the comments one way you are going to recharge this week! Would love to hear from you 🙂
