What Irritable Bowel Syndrome Is and How To Manage It Well

Welcome to the two-hundred and fifty-sixth episode of the Made Well Women Podcast, which is about what irritable bowel syndrome is and how you can manage it well.

My name is Brianna Wilkerson from Made Well, and I’m the Founder / CEO of Made Well – a practice designed to see women be healthy and thrive in all areas of their lives.

I am a holistic health and life coach, essential oils advocate, beauty and clothing ambassador, matcha tea lover, momma, and at-home crossfitter. I love to help women look good and feel good from the inside out, so they can have the time, energy, and support they need to fulfill the dreams in their heart.

Today’s Episode:

In today’s episode, we are speaking with Antonella Dewell about what is irritable bowel syndrome and how you can manage it well.

Antonella is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who specializes in the dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She is passionate about helping women with IBS find relief from uncomfortable gut symptoms – bloating, excess gas, abdominal pain, and unpredictable bowel habits – and figure out which foods are triggering them, so they can stop being anxious around food, eat with confidence and live a full, vibrant life.

She is a certified Natural Chef and loves creating gut-loving recipes for her clients that are both nutritious and unapologetically delicious.

She currently lives in Santa Cruz, CA where she runs a virtual practice, counseling clients all over the United States. When she is not working, she loves cooking delicious healthy food, running, and listening to audiobooks while walking by the ocean.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (disorder vs disease) and how many people it affects (mostly women)
  • What are the major triggers
    • How IBS can be managed (diet, stress management, lifestyle modification)
    • The biggest mistakes people make when it comes to managing their IBS
    • How to figure out what foods may be triggering your IBS.
    • How to find long-term freedom from IBS (a holistic approach)
    • Details on how you can download Antonella’s 10 Steps to Beat the Bloat Guide
    • Details on my free 5-week series on how to Look and Feel Good from the inside out
