Creating a Sustainable Fitness Routine as Women and Moms

Welcome to the one-hundred and seventy-fifth episode, where we discuss how to create a sustainable fitness routine as women and moms.

My name is Brianna Wilkerson from Made Well, and I’m the Founder / CEO of Made Well – a practice designed to see women be healthy and thrive in all areas of their lives.

I am a holistic health and life coach who helps women find peace with food, feel confident in their bodies again, and develop a healthy lifestyle that’s more than about what they weigh.

I also am an Essential Oils Advocate and love empowering women to use non-toxic solutions like essential oils for their health, homes, and families.

It is my absolute delight and pleasure to bring you this podcast and share with you all my heart and soul around truly being healthy and thriving in all areas of your life!

In this week’s episode of the @morethanyourweightpodcast, I have the amazing Carolina Stone, Pregnancy/Postpartum and Maintenance Coach with Street Parking to talk about how to create a sustainable routine as women and moms!

Carolina is also the Co-creator of the Street Parking Maintenance program which is an online library of yoga and mobility videos. She began teaching yoga in 2012 and was also a Crossfit affiliate co-owner Coach in Los Angeles. Carolina is a former BIRTHFIT leader and has also completed the Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach’s course. She is passionate about supporting people through the parenthood transition and connecting them with tools and resources to meet their goals and needs.

I have personally been doing Street Parking’s fitness program since my last trimester with my baby girl back in March-June 2020. This program and community was just what I needed to create a sustainable fitness routine pregnant and postpartum, to learn what it meant to scale and rehab my core and pelvic floor in a safe way – while continuing on in my fitness journey.

Carolina and the community has been there for me every step of the way, so it was a no brainer to have her own to share how women (even if you’re not a mom) and mommas at ANY age can create a sustainable fitness routine for themselves.

In this episode, you will learn about:

  • How Carolina wasn’t athletic or into sports until her late 20’s and 30’s when she knew she emotionally, mentally and physically needed change
  • Carolina’s journey in going from doing yoga, to teaching it, taekwondo, opening up a Crossfit gym with her husband, working out at home and eventually finding Street Parking
  • What Street Parking is and how they help individuals create a sustainable fitness routine for their lives with tons of programs, nutrition support, maintenance (stretching, yoga, mobility) and an amazing community
  • Details on the Street Parking’s SHIFT programming and how it’s perfect if you’re new to exercise, have an injury, pregnant or postpartum, or simply short on time and want a less complex workout
  • My experience with Street Parkings Pregnancy & Postpartum program and how it helps women stay fit during pregnancy and rehab their core and pelvic floor post-baby
  • Carolina’s TOP tips to help you get started in creating a sustainable fitness routine for yourself
  • Details on my FREE 5 Day Menu Planning Challenge that is open for registration NOW (which is the perfect challenge to help you with your nutrition as you start to create a fitness routine you love and works for you!)
